The modern equivalent of Marie Antoinette

“We’ve Given All You People Need to Know”

That is a direct quote from Ann “Marie Antoinette” Romney when asked today if her husband was going to release more tax returns than the partial year that Mitt Romney has released to date.

My first question here is: “Who are “you people”? Is it the American people? Is it the “little people”? Who are “you people”?

The use of the “you people” phrase would also suggest there is an “us people”. This is the arrogance of the 1%. They truly think they are entitled to everything they have and anything they can get regardless of the cost to the rest of the country. After all, if “you people” weren’t smart enough to be born white and into privilege, like Romney, that is your problem and you deserve everything you get. Romney was born on third base and thought he had hit a triple.

The Lucky Sperm Club

In the same interview Ann Romney also said this: ““You know, you should really look at where Mitt has led his life, and where he’s been financially,” the potential first lady said on ABC’s “Good Morning America.” “He’s a very generous person. We give 10 percent of our income to our church every year. Do you think that is the kind of person who is trying to hide things, or do things? No. He is so good about it. Then, when he was governor of Massachusetts, didn’t take a salary for four years.”

Uh, yeah, we would like to look at Mitt’s life and where he’s been financially except “you people” won’t release his tax returns.

I wrote an article a few months ago titled Greed Makes A Person Stupid I now realize that greed doesn’t actually make you stupid, it makes a person arrogant which then can be seen as stupidity. This statement by Ann Romney is the epitome of arrogance. This is the modern equivalent of: “Let them eat cake.”

The last time we had someone this high up in politics that was this secretive was Richard “Tricky Dick” Nixon. Do we want to go through another Watergate? Elect Romney and I can guarantee we will have a major scandal involving the presidency soon after.
