Republicans are Showing the World That Democracy Doesn’t Work

Party before countryThe Republicans have forced sequestration on the country with their refusal to negotiate with President Obama or the Democrats. They know it will be devastating to the country, (their words not mine), and yet they did it anyway.

The Democrats had a bill in the Senate to end sequestration, which got 51 votes, but the Republicans filibustered it so it went nowhere. It would have been killed in the House anyway; just like almost every other bill that has passed the Senate.

President Obama put forth a proposal as well. A proposal that the Republicans fail to even acknowledge.

How Last Year’s Debt Ceiling Debacle Hurt the Economy

This man will gladly hurt the American economy and Americans for political gain.

Last year the House Republicans led by Rep. John Boehner (R-OH), held the American economy hostage by refusing to raise the debt limit until Republican spending cuts were enacted.

Once again Boehner and his colleagues are threatening to not raise the debt limit until they get their way. Once you give into a person who takes a hostage, that person will use the same strategy again to get their way.

This Is It…The Apex Of Stupidity

One of the stupidest men in America

*As you might have noticed from some of the articles here, I have little patience for willful ignorance and self-imposed stupidity*

This is officially the stupidest, most asinine thing the Republicans have done to date.

Okay, get this: The Republicans proposed and got passed a bill that deals with a nonexistent issue. The issue doesn’t exist. At all. Anywhere. It passed the Republican-led House on a party-line vote. (Republicans for: Democrats against). 268 – 150.
