Now is When They Threaten to Start Shooting

This is when the right wing threatens to start shooting. Why is it that when the right wing doesn’t get what they want they threaten violence? Violence is the providence of the uneducated and ignorant. Intelligent people can generally work out their problems without resulting to violence.

If armed insurrection occurs, it can be laid squarely at the feet of the GOP. More than one Republican politician has hinted at that “remedy.” Remember Sharron Angle, a Senate candidate from Nevada? “…if this, this Congress keeps going the way it is, people are really looking toward those Second Amendment remedies…”

The Wall Street Journal reported that Senator Rand Paul said this earlier today, (R-KY): “He also suggested Americans should revolt. “The Stamp Act was a direct tax imposed on the colonies by King George III. This act inevitably led to the American Revolution,” Mr. Paul wrote. “Just as the Stamp Act did in 1765, Obamacare should act as a wake-up call. Chief Justice Roberts provides us with a similar call to action.”

These are the “leaders” of the Republican Party calling on their brainless minions to commit treason and attempt to overthrow the duly elected government of the United States.

Rand Paul Calls for Revolt After Health Law Ruling

From the Huffington Post: A former GOP spokesman, Matt Davies, said this as well:

“Conservatives were united in their disappointment over the Supreme Court’s upholding of President Barack Obama’s health care law on Thursday. But one former GOP spokesman took things a bit further than the near-uniform vows to repeal the legislation.

Matt Davis, a Michigan attorney who was once the state Republican Party’s spokesman, sent out an email that asked whether armed rebellion would be justified in the wake of the court’s decision. According to Michigan Capital Confidential, a local news service that originally reported the missive, Davis sent it “moments after the Supreme Court ruling to numerous new media outlets and limited government activists”

If government can mandate that I pay for something I don’t want, then what is beyond its power? If the Supreme Court’s decision Thursday paves the way for unprecedented intrusion into personal decisions, then has the Republic all but ceased to exist? If so, then is armed rebellion today justified?”

This is how I imagine these types of people live.
