Wikipedia Blackout (UPDATE*)

*Google has now decided to participate in the protest.
Wikipedia wasn’t the first to propose this, though they are the biggest website to date that has said they would participate.
“Wikipedia has apparently joined the ranks of several high-profile websites that are planning a “blackout” on Wednesday, January 18, in protest of Congress’ proposed anti-piracy legislation. During the blackout period, many web pages will become unavailable and will likely be replaced with information about the protest.
My First Video
by J Stepper • • 0 Comments
Here is my very first web video. As a new feature here at outofstepper.com, I am going to be addressing the visitors to this website. My plan is to upload a video per week that has something to do with current events. Mostly political events of course. Feel free to leave me a comment about how you think the show could be improved upon. You can also email me at [email protected] (Someday I am going to figure out how to make the email address a clickable link).
Here it is…enjoy!
Stop Robo-calling To Your Cell Phone

I don’t usually do this, however this is important enough that I want to share this link with everyone who comes to this website, (you know who you are).
The Chamber of Commerce among others is pushing a bill that will overturn a 20-year ban on telemarketers calling you on your cell phone. If this passes you will get to hear from telemarketers anytime: Office, home, during breakfast, lunch and dinner…anytime! With the Internet and your private information that is stored there, people will literally be flooded with telemarketers. If you pay for your minutes, you could easily go broke from all of the calls. If your child has a cell phone…who knows what is going to happen if some aggressive telemarketer gets your 12 year-old on the phone? This needs to be stopped before it ever gets started.
