It is time to get hate speech like this off of the public airwaves, off of OUR, as in the taxpayer’s, airwaves.

I believe in free speech. I also believe there needs to be some boundaries; especially since Rush serves at the public’s pleasure since we own his airwaves and he is getting them for FREE. Our government is sponsoring his hate speech and it needs to stop.

this is so getting out of control. Rush L is paid to roues you up the company is going crazy in the ratings right now. Also as i was shopping at penneys over the weekend looking at the the jean shorts and I couldn’t think of another word that would be appropriate. women need to start showing a bit of respect for them selves if they want it given back in return.
Limbaugh went way over the line when he attacked that young woman in such a vicious and disgusting manner just for standing up for what she believes. No woman should be attacked like that on national radio, and especially not a person who wasn’t a national public figure.
I have a daughter and I wouldn’t want her attacked like that regardless of what she happened to be saying.

I called Rush the Republican Party’s spiritual leader. It certainly isn’t Jesus Christ.
It is never okay for anyone to do it. However, the big difference is that Bill Maher was calling out Sarah Palin, who is a public figure so has to expect this sort of thing. Sandra Fluke is a private citizen. There is a lot of difference there. Bill Maher was doing standup in a club when he made those remarks. Wasn’t Howard Stern removed from the public airwaves? Isn’t he now only on satellite radio now?
Not to mention, Rush got the entire thing wrong. Sandra was not there to get her birth control paid for to begin with. She was there to tell a story about a friend of hers that got a cyst on her ovary and had to have it removed because she couldn’t afford her birth control.
So Rush was completely wrong from square one, and every single thing he said just made him more and more wrong. At the very least you would think that Rush would be able to get his facts straight. Oh, he can, he was just being a bully against a law student who couldn’t defend herself.
The entire Republican Party follows Rush’s orders. He is the one who tells them how to think, what to think, and when to think. Not one Republican will stand up to Rush. I am going to make it my personal mission to get Rush off of the air. That kind of discourse has no place across the airwaves, I and everyone else pays for. Rush is the poster child for what is wrong with our politics today.
Republicans maybe Bible thumpers, but they certainly don’t all follow Jesus Christ or they would have called Rush out on his “bearing false witness” on Sandra. (In fact I would say that a very tiny portion of the Republican Party actually follows Jesus’ teachings).
However, all this doesn’t matter anyway since Rush has already said he was wrong and has apologized to Sandra Fluke. Not that I would ever accept an apology like that.
